Featuring the AMA Superbike Championship September 27-28
After a thrilling weekend of racing at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in July with the riders sharing the spotlight with the stars of the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix, the AMA Superbike Championship returns to Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca on September 27-28 for the season finale.
Launched in 1976, the AMA Superbike Championship is America’s premier motorcycle road-race series. This year’s 11-event, coast-to-coast series features four classes: two for highly modified street bikes Superbike and Formula Xtreme and two for near-production versions of these machines Supersport and Superstock. The Red Bull AMA U.S. Rookies Cup will return to the track with the best young riding talent in the U.S. The Rookies Cup races have been exciting battles for the win with many of the races ending with the victor less than one second ahead of the next competitor. The Supermoto USA series will join the championship finale weekend and the racecourse will be a mix of asphalt and dirt, incorporating both left and right hand turns and jumps. In addition, the weekend will include the 2nd Annual Supermoto USA Women’s Only Races, featuring some of the leading female racers in the country. |
